Building Community - I am not everyone's cup of tea

First lets start with I meet several people daily online thru social media and over the phone thru my career. I love speaking to people and having real conversations, however sometimes in public its all about appearance and the judgment of society. We can all walk in live and take our own path, why does your sidewalk have to interfere with my deer trail? I mean think about it: really does the path I take really effect you at all? I used to be afraid because my path was a bit challenging, that my kids would gravitate toward poplar sidewalk paths. However, no matter how you raise your young ones and no matter how careful you are they are their on persons.

I spoke to a woman, off grid for the first time with a family. We met at a farmers market I do in the sprint/summer. They have older kids but still more than just themselves to consider. They are mostly struggling with some weather issues, amenity failures. I do not have pipes, but I can tell you I am very glad in the 20 degree weather, I never have broken pipes or frozen pipes. I run ventless propane, until we get our wood stove we want. there cabin and trailer are 2 times our size so we have less space to heat. I recommended wrapping pipes and the have, then insulating barrels with straw /hay around them.

I also answer questions all the time while I conversate with my members/clients at work, everyone asks me about power, and heat. But, when I tell them we use the generator on less then ideal days for solar, they say oh your not completely off grid. I say no I'm not living in a cave lol. But, like most I have to work, but unlike most I don't have to drive haha

Im off grid to my liking and terms, so everyone with other ideas good luck and wish you the best. Until I don't have to work I have to have a power source when the sun takes vacation lol.

I have neighbors that have prebuild sheds/buildings they are gonna live in or are finishing out to live in. I have neighbors that live like squatters in a tiny camper with 3/4 dogs, huge lady and tiny husband (not fond of them, but to each their own).

We lived in our camper year 1 half way, build a cabin on our own only had a tiny Amish mans help doing the roof because it was to high for me. Since then we have purchased our ridge property and we will be building there !!!

Now , if you are looking into changing your life this much be prepared to zig zag and wag at the least convenient moment. Think of it this way when you come to an intersection and see two roads:

Road 1 : dirt, rocks and debri, so you must want adventure and deal with whatever comes your way.        Do not take this road if you cant be hot, cold or smelly for a short period of time, do not take             this route if you want air conditioning and all the clicker remotes.

Road 2: paved swept and clean , leads to a house with electric and furnace for comfort 24/7

wait does it because all those need maintenance, and dont forget the cost of it all together.

So which road do you choose and don't pretend to be a hard ass, just because you want to be able to do tis life. Im not homeless but some homeless ppl have more amenities lol

All I am saying is live your life and let others live theirs, non of us should be effecting the others. If you want to drive around all day and drive up and down a road go back to living in town or suburbia. I have neighbors that literally drive past my camper "office" 6 or more times a day and our road / hill is very hard on vehicles - Im not gonna lie I hope the wheels fall off because it annoys me ! But also the damn flood lights come on what the hell do we need all the lights up here for ? I wanna see the stars lol

My piece today - Love and be loved but leave others alone !
